Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Movieee Mistakess again :)
  • When Jack fights the impostor, they are roughly the same height, but when the impostor is revealed to be Angelica, she is suddenly much shorter than him.
  • When Captain Jack is chained to the chair in King George's quarters, his first action is to try to snatch a cream puff from a plate on the table. There are two pastries on the plate when he first sees them, but by the time he slides the chair over to the table, the plate suddenly has about half-a-dozen puffs on it.
  • Factual based tidbit: Barbossa addresses one of his officers as "lieutenant-commander". This rank was not introduced into the Royal Navy until 1914.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Here are some interesting mistakes on this movie. Watch out for them! :)
  • When Beckett boards the Dutchman and speaks to Jones, he has very noticeable dark facial stubble, but bizarrely, in his next close-up he is actually clean shaven, his wig curl has shrunk and his eyebrow hair is neater.
  • After the military attack Sao Feng's residence, when Elizabeth is seen fighting amid the melee the black spandex-like shorts are visible under her robe as she kicks up.
  • In numerous shots modern bobbypins (the white kind brides wear on their headdress) are clearly visible inside the curls of the men's white wigs. For instance, they can be seen when Norrington is reunited with his sword; later when he dies; when Beckett talks about the immaterial becoming immaterial; finally, when he says, "It's just good business," as the Pearl and Dutchman fire on Endeavor. The type of 'hair pin' seen in the wig curls did not exist in the mid 18th century.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Here are some interesting movie mistakes:
    • There are six metal bars mounted around the circumference of the water wheel's axle. In the wheel's interior, when Jack frees himself he lands on his feet, begins to run and promptly hits his head on one of those axle bars, then falls out. Moments later, when Jack returns and runs in the wheel, he is considerably shorter (way more than a foot) than all six spinning axle bars, which would make that previous shot impossible, however humorous it is.
    • When paprika-seasoned Jack is tied and bound, hanging over the wood pile, the soles and heels on his boots are visible. Later, when Jack is shackled and then faces the kracken, the heels are higher - actually twice the height. Also, note the boots when he reaches the top of the building with Will and Norrington.
    • The cloth with the key drawing changes greatly throughout the film. This includes the actual drawing itself, the tears on the cloth, shape of the cloth, etc.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
